Chicago's Famous Fried Chicken & Fish

I realized I hadn't eaten and saw a restaurant I hadn't seen in the area. "Chicago" and "fried fish" caught my eye. The restaurant was clean. The staff was pleasant , informative and patient. As I sat waiting for my "cook to order food", it gave me a chance to read the reviews. As with any reviews some good, some not so good. What gave me concern was the response from the owner. I'm glad I came into the restaurant first before reading the reviews in this case. I felt that on the lower star ratings owners response was more personal than professional and something kinda rude and condescending. Which would've made me think negative of the staff. So wrong!! With that said on to the food. In the end I really liked it and so did my son. The light, crispy crust was a very pleasant change and it allowed me to taste more of the chicken. The flavor of the chicken was different with the first few bites but it was still very pleasant ( I opted to have the sauce on the). The sauce to me was a bit too salty for my taste- flavor otherwise was good, but my son was pleased with it on all levels. The tilapia had a good mild flavor. It needed nothing else for my liking. I would have preferred to have my bread toasted, but next time I will request it be done. All in all I will be returning to Chicago Famous Fried Chicken. Thank you for a taste of your Chicago.

I'm from Chicago and my girlfriend wanted to visit Chicago to try the different foods there and loved it. One of the places we went to was Harold's chicken and I told her about how the mild sauce brings it together and she really loved it. Fast forward to today and we were thoroughly impressed and it definitely felt like I was back in Chicago. The seasoning of the chicken was great, of course I added lemon pepper and mild sauce and we both were stuffed afterwards. Next I'm going to try the Italian beef and hopefully that's great. Food was great, very clean and staff was very friendly. 👍👍

There is just a few guidelines when visiting 1. Prepare for freshness- though you will be waiting for your meal. If you are looking for juicy, fresh, and hot chicken you’ve come to the right place. 2. Get your own plate - though same is caring. Not here you’ll will want to get your own meal. But trust you get a lot with what you order. 3. The chicken - Flavor is off the charts of you want to add a sauce you can. But trust without sauce you will not be disappointed. 4. Clean - this location is very well kept as well as the staff is personable and have no problem explain the menu to new customers as well as provide suggestions 5. Flavor - did I mention this ? Lol again I was very surprise as far as the flavor of the chicken without anything.

Yet another chapter in my restaurant Chronicles. I drive by this place pretty regular. Thought I'd stop by and check it out. It was actually very good! It has a different flavor but it's good. It took about 15 minutes so I figured to be ready because none of the chicken cooked until you order it. So I was okay with that. It was hot and fresh and good. Not too pricey. Customer service was great! Very pleasant employees. I will be back Chicago Famous Chicken!!

The sauces where great. Love companies that have many sauces to choose from and allow you to taste. The chicken wings, gizzards, and thigh where cooked very well. The chicken was cooked perfectly. The breading is not in my top 5 favorites. The okra was flavorful. The gizzards are too great. They had enough tenderness and crunch. Great place, prices to high though. Wouldn't mind coming back for gizzards and sauce. Not just for fried chicken though.
