Thanh Noi Sandwich

My wife and I visited this morning on our way out of Houston. We hadn't tried the sandwiches before, but a lot of the reviews were great and a few were very negative. The owner's responses made me laugh and she seemed very confident in her product so that sold me. We stopped in and they were so sweet and welcoming. We ordered 6 (buy 5 get one free) and realized I forgot to get cash (cash only). She told us where to find an ATM and said she would start making them. That's very very hospitable. We got our cash, returned, our sandwiches were ready and waiting and we hit the road. My wife thought 6 sandwiches was overkill for our four hour road trip. Now that we've eaten 2 of them, she wishes we had bought 12, they are so amazing. The bread is perfect, meat is amazing and they're so cheap! We paid $18 for 6 banh mi. Will be back next time we're in Houston for a dozen.

My first place to go for banh mi in Chinatown. Prices are very reasonable and food is always fresh. I hardly tried other dishes because I had to sit down to dine there. I would rather take out, tho. It's a great family owned and operated business. It's been here for many decades. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for tasty Vietnamese sandwich.
