Henderson & Kane General Store

Laid back place it is a bbq place wrapped by a general store. Had the pit master platter. Enjoyed the food. Not a huge smoke flavor but brisket was tender, pulled pork was tender. Sides were ok. Parking will be a challenge. Place is in the middle of a partial residential area. No parking lot. Picture is after we had hit it up.

Ate dinner Friday Dec 8th, 2023 around 6 PM. This place is in the midst of a neighborhood so you'd think grocery store upon first glance. Most of its products are items I'd associate with a rural TX store: wine, food seasoning, mom and pop cooking supplies. They do have a large cooler of water, soft drinks, and beers. The place was empty and so a little imposing; there wasn't a soul present when I entered the building. But a young man came from a back room and welcomed me. He took my dinner order - BBQ on Mac and a side of cream corn. BBQ was almost chilish but it was good. The Mac was very tender and the corn was yummy. 4 stars only because of the BBQ. food came out quickly. I made it out of there at $18.

We had dinner at this fantastic place October 23rd and lucky enough to enjoy the steak night; 16oz Ribeye and 8oz Sirloin including sides. Everything was perfect cooked, tasty and we spent a pleasent evening there. This place is such a gem and we can only recommend it to everyone. Thank you so much for having us. We wish the owners good luck with this stunning concept.

This place is great and instantly became one of my favorite places. They have a general store full of different foods, most all chosen for their ingredient list being healthier and straightforward. The food is great. The young lady running the front of the house the day I went was amazing. She is fast, helpful, and all while handling the whole store at once. For sure, I am going to make this a regular stop. BBQ, burgers and steak...I'm in.

My my my I have traveled the globe and eaten BBQ wherever it was offered, and let me just say this place was among the best. The customer service was outstanding and accommodating. The atmosphere was quaint and warm. Great items for shopping. The brisket was the best I have ever tasted. Great ratio of fat and lean parts. Wonderful smoke flavor and impeccable seasoning. The ribs were exceptional and delicious. And truly required no sauce at all. The flavors and seasonings were enough. My meat came clean off the bone without it being overly cooked. All in all if you're stopping in the Houston area, I strongly recommend you give Henderson And Kane a try. Trust me you will be glad you did.

We were visiting the Houston area for vacation and stumbled upon this spot. This was such a cute atmosphere for a delicious hidden BBQ place. Inside you can order coffee from their coffee/beverage bar or order delicious, freshly smoked BBQ. They also have a large number of rubs and spices to purchase, as well as kitchen/cooking accessories, apparel, and other goodies. Super glad to have stopped in here to enjoy some good food before heading to the airport for a flight. We ordered the chopped brisket sandwich with mac and cheese, and the 2 meat plate with smoked pulled pork and ribs, creamed corn, and the sweet potato and kale salad.

I loved this place! They had a great wine, drink and food selection as well as local artisan foods and crafts. I had a brisket BBQ which was DELICIOUS. Fell apart while eating it and enjoyed the green bean and Mac n cheese side. My friend got some more sides that were delicious as well. Just not my style. Highly recommend and wish I was able to go for breakfast to try the tacos!

Small country store feel, cozy vibes. You feel like you’re in your family’s kitchen eating bbq. Great flavors overall. My must-try recommendations is the Boudin sausage. You will become addicted. If you are feeling exploratory, try the smoked chicken with the sweet potato and kale side. The flavors together are magic. The service was amazing - You feel cared for and safe.

A fun spot that when you sit inside really transports you to a location far from the 610 loop. They’ve done a nice job of making this a local watering hole vibe + convenience store+ bbq. Grabbed the brisket plate for lunch. Certainly recommend the brisket. Mac and cheese was also delicious. Green beens we’re not as good as the rest but that my be my personal preference.
