Take The Cake

I was in n charge of ordering the cake for my sweet sister and brother in laws baby sprinkle for my sweet 3rd niece that’s due next month. My sister wanted a beautiful classic cake and sent us a picture of what she wanted. I looked online and found Take the Cake and was happy to see it was close to my sisters home and amazing reviews. I sent a picture of exactly what we wanted and Take the Cake did the most amazing job! I can’t rave how great the service, cake, taste all was. Everyone at the sprinkle loved it and my sister didn’t even want to cut it because it was so beautiful. Thank you so much for such an amazing cake. Truly beautiful!

A 45 minutes to and from the shop is definitely worth it. I ordered a 12 inch chocolate truffle cake and I made some customized inquiries for writing my LO’s name and leaving a space for a paper topper. It came as perfect as it can be. I followed the instructions to got it out of the fridge 2 hours prior to serving and I had positive feedbacks from everyone who tried it. Thanks a lot for making my 2 years LO’s birthday a beautiful memory. Will absolutely keep ordering from them for any other occasion.

My mom's 75th birthday cake was a hit! They didn't bat an eye when I asked for only 75% of the cake. We did take that 25% and turned it into a large take home piece. The cake was so moist yet light. The perfect bite! The raspberry filling I loved and wish I had eliminated the icing in between the layers and gotten more raspberry. The price was incredible for what they did for me. My mother loved the design and flavors, and everyone was raving about every aspect of the cake. The pictures don't do the cake justice. Thank you Take The Cake! You helped us make a beautiful memory and wonderful celebration.

I have ordered multiple cakes from them. Their cakes are delicious. They are inexpensive compared to other bakeries. But you can tell when they are pressed for time. This is the second time I’ve picked up a cake that just wasn’t as neat as the others they’ve prepared. Today, I asked about having the printed label replaced and was told it was too late, however it looked like they had just put it on. In fact, I can clearly see a gap between the cake and the label. The top of the cake has smudges but I digress. The last time I had an issue with a cake and asked them to fix it they made it worst. They were clearly busy. But I was not the only customer that had an issue. I would have given them 5 stars because the cakes are good but I need them to be more consistent with the presentation. My sons cake I ordered last week was perfect. This cake, all I can do is smh.

Overall the cake was fine… I ordered a strawberry cake for my daughters sweet 16. The strawberry cake was tasty and moist. My only complaint was my cake was supposed to ready at 1 pm on Sat 10/15. I arrived about 1:20ish… was told it was ready and being boxed up…. Waited another 10 mins or so and then was told the gold flakes / decor was being added. I was already running behind as our party was scheduled to start at 3. I told the employee I would run home quickly to grab something and I’d be right back (since my cake was ready)… I returned right at 2. They brought my cake out, I glanced at it and took it and left (again I’m in a hurry). Once I got to our destination and took the cake out the box, there wasn’t any good pearls, good sprinkles or any of the good decorations that I discussed when ordering the cake and paid for…. If you look at the pics, the cake is all white with the exception of my daughters name and the flowers…. So that was a let down… But the cake itself was flavorful.
