Mike's Seafood

This place is such a vibe and the food is GREAT! I have family in town who wanted seafood and I’ve ordered from doordash a few times so I recommended this place to them and we all went for lunch. We had grandparents, parents, and small kids in tow & every single person loved the food and the music. We took quite a few minutes to review the menu and order, the staff was very friendly and helped us answer the many questions we had and even made suggestions before finalizing our order. As soon as we sat down my dad was in love with the playlist and was already impressed by the establishment. He states this is the kind of service he expects but is hard to come by. Our food came out freshly made and overly delicious. We ordered wings and chicken strips for the kiddos, fried tilapia & catfish, fried shrimp, salmon, fries, and fried rice. That fried rice is TO DIE FOR!!! I was secretly smiling to myself all afternoon because my family kept sharing their excitement over how good the food was and “this is what we came to Texas for” I think they were out of crawfish but when it’s back in season I’ll be sure to bring my family back to enjoy it as I once have with friends as well. Looking forward to my next visit here! If you visit, try their daiquiris but be warned… 1 is plenty lol

So I've been a BIG fan of Mike Seafood for nearly 10 years, and this will always be a staple for me and family! For the most part, we always order the seafood platter with catfish and fries. Unfortunately, tonight's fries did quite hot as good as usual. Loved the portion size, but the fries were overcooked and a tad bit over seasoned, which sucks for me because this is usually my sweet spot after devouring my catfish. The pork egg roll was on point tonight! Always a friendly staff and great vibes whether we dine in or take it to go. Much love! ❤️

Hole in the wall kind of place, which is pretty nice imo. I tried the Oister Po Boy. The service was great, the staff was super friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was alright, a bit low lit, plenty of seating and there is a small outside seating area. Now for the reason we're all here, the PoBoy. The bread was way too dense and chewy, I really had to make an effort to eat it. The batter on the oysters was disappointing, it was very clumpy and hard which make it even harder to hleat with the bread. Whatever batter they use, I hope they change it. Additionally the oysters were bland as if they did not season the batter. The rest was standard, mayo, lettuce, tomato. I also had the fries, which were ok, nothing to rave about but they were not bad I just wish they were thinner but more importantly crisper. I did try the hush puppies which I cannot recommend more. Very flavourful, crisp, moist on the inside and over all the winner of the show. Food- 5 Service -9 Atmosphere- 7
