Sterling House

Came here for a Christmas party get together and this place is pretty cool. The upstairs area is cool and spacious. The drinks are a bit pricey, though. The parking here is pretty bad, too. You have to find street parking in the area, so get there early if you're having an event there. Otherwise, I'm not sure if they have happy hour or anything, but I imagine that would make the drink prices more reasonable. So you decide.. a Jameson on the rocks and a "Wells" whiskey and Coke was about 18 bucks after a 20% tip. So yeah.. decide for yourself. Otherwise, cool spot for sure.

I have had so much fun at Sterling House the past 2 years, but what I’m looking forward to most is the new food and cocktail menus. It’s the perfect time to re-vamp everything with the awesome new management and staff! Everyone is so friendly and there has been so many cool new events and promotions lately! Whiskey Art Markets, Community Outreach Events, Date Nights, Hip Hop Bingo, etc! Way to go Sterling!

Wonderful venue. It is a refurbushed house that has been turned into a bar. I felt so at home as soon as I arrived! Can't wait to go back. The bartender, Carlos, is well-seasoned and really knows how to mix a drink! It is absolutely beautiful. The restrooms have lovely tiled walls, typical of a 100+ year-old home. They have corn hole outside in their very comfortable patio. I highly recommend this bar!

Great patio. Great people. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. I had a brisket taco and an acquaintance tried the Caprese flatbread which neither of us enjoyed. The brisket was shredded, lacking major flavor and appeared to be store bought. It literally was just "ok." The lemon drop martini and mimosa I had were excellent! I will be back but I'll eat before I come.

I loved the Sterling House located in Midtown on Bagby. They offer lite bar bites featuring avocado fries, burgers, truffle and plain steak fries, mac and cheese plain and with smoked brisket, and Mexican Street corn. We sampled a few of the handcrafted cocktails too! My favorite included the Mariposa and the Sterling House Mule. What really wowed me was Sterling House's spacious outdoor patio to enjoy our cool nights and upstairs bar for private parties. Sterling House is the place to go for happy hour (4-8pm weekdays)! What a neat place!
