Luby's Cafeteria Waugh Dr

The staff are very kind each one works diligently to ensure their customer's needs are met! My mother dear (who is extremely picky) wont go anywhere else for her fried catfish, and I cant think of another place outside if my own kitchen that I would rather have my favorite liver and onions! We were honored to have the cook Mr Dallas come out to ensure we were satisfied! That has been the case over the years service at this location never fails to leave me smiling out the door! Thank you all!!!

Great food and great service! This location keeps everything ready to go. The person who prepares your plate is very generous with your portions, not stingy like some of those other places. There wasn't a line, and there was plenty of comfortable seating available. The restaurant is very well kept. The wait staff is very attentive to your needs without constantly interrupting your dining experience. In the front there is a drop-off area and plenty of nearby handicap parking spots. Houston Police Department officers frequent this establishment, providing a feeling of safety while you eat. Definitely coming back soon. Oh, don't forget to try one of their several dessert choices. The carrot cake was amazing!

Follow up - Lunch Nov 21 had Chicken Pot Pie - only on Wednesdays. Very eye catching and has plenty of sause and I like that the best, so you aren't eating a thick stew, which is how someplaces prepare them. Taste wise reminded of what pot pies were like when I was a kid. Previous Lunch, Soup & Salad under $8. Luby's Cafeteria had Chicken & Rice Soup & Congealed Lime Salad, generous portions and satisfying. Soup had chunks of chicken and Jello with Blackberry to top it off. Wait staff attentive to needs. Will get their Soup and Salad again.

Everyone there was really nice! The food was great! The price for a family of 5 was awesome! Kids eat free with an adult! I'm so glad we stopped in! It's been so long since I have been to a Luby's because there isn't one around where we live. It is just as I remember as a kid. Home cooking and really sweet people that work there.
