Hank's Famous Cajun Crawfish

I ordered the lunch catfish and rice. The catfish was one of the best I've had. It was perfectly crispy on the outside and buttery soft on the inside. The rice was nice. It had baby shrimp and scallion, carrots and green peas and lots of flavor. Even the tarter sauce was great, mild but good taste. It was also super hot all the way to the last bite. For just under $10, the portion size and flavor is hard to beat. I'll definitely be back to try something else.

I'm from Louisiana and I have been craving crawfish but everywhere I go they ask what flavor and I be looking like huh 😳 what flavor?? Crawfish is only 1 flavor but anywho i went to Hanks hoping to kill this craving and let me tell youuuu these crawfish were evvveerrryyythhiiinnnggg!!!!! The flavor the spice everything was top tier!!! They hv been on my mind so I will definitely be back...last but not least I had the medium which had a good bit of spice that had my nose running and my lips burning so choose wisely when it come to the spice

So love the fried lobsters. my wife wasn't a fan but she is picky. I do believe most people that come here will love the food. I didn't as but seemed to be family owned but you don't get that service. No problems just cant give 5 stars because i just didn't get that welcoming filling. it was more like here get you food. 95% of people dont care.

Went last night had Crawfish, wings, and catfish. The crawfish were pretty decent sized just a few smaller ones at the bottom. They were boiled perfectly!!! Juicy heads and the easiest to peel!!! I asked for spicy spicy and they were but I think I want to try them even more 🌶 next time 8/10 … catfish was awesome too I think I’ll ask for extra crispy fried next time! Wings were solid!!!

I am not a fan of seafood but my husband is. It was his turn to pick the lunch place so we decided to try Hanks. This might just be our new favorite seafood spot. 😋 I got the 2 catfish fillet with the waiter suggested fried shrimp rice. For someone who doesn't like seafood, I finished that plate so fast! The seasoning of the rice was delicious, the shrimp was chopped small but the taste was well blended. The batter on my fish fillet was deep fried to perfection and deliciously mouthwatering. We also ordered a side of fries which were served Hot,crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The waiter brought us some shrimp box sauce to dip the fish in and I had to ask for 2nds! We will definitely be back!

I took my first bite and forgot I was going to complete a review. The pic posted is what is left after I took a breath. Perfectly seasoned catfish filets, cooked to perfection. While the exterior is a crispy Cajun breading, the inside is extremely meaty and juicy. For a small spot, they easily compete with the higher end seafood bars that serve the same menu at twice the price. I can’t complain or compliment the service, the staff is polite and just the right amount of attentiveness. The one thing I would improve is the communication of the process to order and pay. I wasn’t clear about someone taking the order at the table or if I needed to place my order in the front. Overall, a good experience and very convenient location right outside of downtown Houston, off 45 N. I’ll make sure to stop here again when I come to visit.
