Beef & Bun Barbecue

BBQ has been the exact same for the 30 years I've eaten it. Amazing. Sauce is drinkable it's so good. Originally Greek owned it is now owned by the two brothers that grew up working with the owner, and took his pride in food to heart. I read the reviews on here and it must be because it's in a 'rougher part of town'... Whoever needs "chain" BBQ and processed products don't go here. Period. You won't find it, it is truly homemade delicious food. I can't stress enough that this restaurant has not changed in 30 years. Prepare for a 'soup nazi' Seinfeldian experience, but you will never regret it. Sliced beef sandwich and fries. Thank me later..... One more thing, I'm the son of the retired director of public works and engineering (health inspections). Trust me whoever claims it would fail inspection is plain dumb. It was a staple restaurant for my entire extended family, and always will be. Straight delicious.

Consistently good and very affordable. I have eaten (mostly takeout) from this Spring Branch family owned place for at least 15 years. You just cannot beat the price vs quality of their food. I recently had a very bad experience at another BBQ place (Baker's Ribs on Voss) which only made me appreciate the Beef & Bun that much more. It ain't fancy or the best dine-in experience that you will ever have, but for always good ole' Texas BBQ at really great prices, you can't beat it.

this is by far the best bbq place in Houston. have been going there since i was small & just recently started trying new things on the menu & haven't found something i don't like. $6 almost $7 will buy you a burger or a "basket"as they call it & if you have it for lunch that will be your dinner because it will STUFF you. every time I'm in the area it's a must to stop by
