Got Banh Mi And Pho

I love Pho locations. This place is by far one of the best on Westheimer. I work closer to Dairy Ashford and I do not mind driving for delicious food. I always stick to the chicken noodle soup and and pork sandwich, and it is delicious! and very affordable, other places on Westheimer charge above 15-16 dollars

Had the craving for some Pho and Banh Mi sandwich early in the morning and to my surprise they were open at 10 am!! Was so delighted I tried the Meat ball and brisket pho and had two pork and chicken banh mi to go and a taro-coconut smoothie to go all under 25 bucks! And the server Nick was attentive and recommend the above items I tried...will be coming here when I am in this area going forward.

The place is very well decorated, slightly classy actually. The food was very fresh and tasty. However, I do think it is seriously overpriced because the Pho I had at $15 barely had any seafood in it; 2 shrimp, 1 scallop and two crab joints with hardly any crab meat. The steamed mussels appetizer at $10 had many empty shells and only a total of 6 actual very small mussels. My girlfriend had the best value with the Pho with brisket and sausage in it, plenty of meat at half the cost of my dish. Our waiter, who was brand new, tried really hard and was very friendly and attentive, I think he will become very good after some more time and training.

Okay, let me start by saying that we have quite the variety of culinary options to choose from here in Houston so typically I don't like the idea of eating the same genre of food more than once in a day. That being said I had just eaten a banh mi sammich at another establishment (which I will not name here out of respect, but I will say that the sammich I had was quite delicious). Anyways, my girlfriend and I went to 'Got Banh Mi & Pho?' yesterday and I got a Vietnamese coffee with the combo pork banh mi and rare beef pho and she got a full order of rare beef/brisket pho. The Banh mi was amazing, better than the sammich I had earlier that day and the pho was quite tasty as well. The price for the combo was only $9.50 for dinner ($8.50 for lunch) which seems like a pretty good deal to me considering the portion sizes. The Vietnamese coffee was only $2.50 also and it was also pretty great, too. Total we spent $30 w/o tip, but that included 2 more coffees to go and some eggrolls for an appetizer, not too bad for a big meal in Houston. We also took some pho home because we didn't finish it all. The best part was that the people running the place were super nice and friendly. We will definitely be eating here often now!

Have been going to Le Viet right down the road for over a couple of years now and gotta say, "Got Banh Mi & Pho" beat them out. I give this place a 5 star over Le Viet's 4 star because the service was exceptional better here and the atmosphere was bright and more lively. The food was awesome, I ordered the rice platter, as always and noticed right away that it was less salty, which was awesome. They hit all the right notes in my book, will go back again and again.
