McDonald's is a known entity. The individual locations can differ, but there is a potential for consistency, and that familiarity is helpful. I use the 1,2, and 3 dollar menu when applicable, which does afford economy. They have my favorite standard coffee. The above star ratings are for the Kingwood,Tx/ North Park Drive location.
