Sakura Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar

I have been going to this place since I have been 16 (I'm 26 now) I have had a wonderful relationship with the staff and the manager. The food was always there for me within 15 minutes of my order & most of the time they knew what I wanted... It has crushed me that the doors may be closed. This place was my favorite sushi spot, hands down for years.

Me and my cousin have eaten here on a regular basis for over a year. We always sit in the hibachi room, and the food has always been amazing. Sometimes, we had to wait a little long for the chef, but we have gotten to know all of them, and they recognize us every time. We were looking forward to going back very soon, however, due to some recent events (I believe fire damage), it looks like they have shut their doors for good. I really hope they will open back up if not at that location, somewhere nearby. Love the place!

Went in for sushi with the expectation that since its a Japanese steak house that the prices would be higher. In fact, the prices were some of the cheapest in the Northwest Houston area period. Full 8 piece tuna/salmon are $4.25 as of writing. Quality is very good as well. Service speed could use a bit of improvement. So far, my top two (total value wise) sushi places in the area are Bonsai and Sakura.
