Vida Taqueria

We are in-between flights and stopped at Vida Taqueria for a bite and a drink. Tim was the bar tender that helped us. He was awesome. Although he was(working alone) incredibly busy, we felt like we we were his only customers. He was fast, efficient and took time to take care of our needs. What a guy. Highly recommended.

FYI- this is in the IAH- Houston Intercontinental Airport. Food ordering is all automated...u scan the qr code and order online. There's a cook right there behind the counter fulfilling orders and u pickup ur food from the bartender. We had the taco trio- my father said they were good...and 2 kid's cheese quesadillas- they were yum! My mother and I could have shared one order of quesadillas and still been full. The coffee was blah and cold...I ordered it w/half and half but didn't get it or any little sugar packets. All and all satisfied for airport service/food.

We had stopped at a different restaurant first. I'm old and technically ignorant (lacking knowledge), so of course I had trouble downloading the menu. The waitress was not interested in helping at all. I actually called her to the table twice. She barked an answer to my question and walked away. So I did the same. I was so hungry and had been up all night, flying in from Hawaii. When we walked up and sat down at "Vida Taqueria" we were immediately greeted by the nicest staff I had met on my 2 week vacation! The two women working were so helpful, polite, funny, friendly, and extremely efficient in their duties! There wasn't an empty seat and, not one person had to wait more the 30-40, seconds (if that)before they were greeted and being served! I'm a picky eater, and I believe if it doesn't look good, it's not! The chef/cook finished off my 5+++ star rating. Every on my plate was perfectly cooked and was presented on the plate with care! Not just thrown anywhere! It was not only perfectly prepared but it was perfectly presented! Again the place was packed! It is a MUST stop if your hungry, or thirsty! Hopefully the owners and management realizes what a professional team of employees representing them! 👏
