Earl Thomas Bbq

I didn't know about this location until I went to my original location on North loop yesterday just to find out they closed down. 😥 I'm still not over it. So I went to this location hoping the same people will be there but they wasn't. I told a couple of friends about Thomas BBQ and I told them I want to take them to the one of the North Loop because that's the one I'm use to and another location food might not taste the same. So I gave it a try just to see how it compare. First of all their menu is NOT the same. I'm not sure if he was the manager or not but the cook said this location is the best location. According to my taste buds I don't think so. Their Baked Potato ok. I just wonder how the other location taste. Their Sweet Potato Pie is about the same taste.The Peach Cobbler... Are you kidding me? I guess the other location put something extra in it to make it taste a WHOLE LOT better!😒😒 The Strawberry Cheesecake I guess the same. The greens beans taste like it came straight out of the can as well as the regular beans. The North Loop location had PERFECTLY seasoned beans AND green beans. My first bite of the ribs was fine until later on it was dry. The Beef sausage I think we just a little bit tougher and more dry. The cabbage was ok. The yams was ok. I will try to submit pictures. I missed the old location.😓😥

I don't know why the reviews are so unfavorable. It's surprising. I've only ordered one item from the menu over the years and it has always been spectacular! The chopped beef baked potato is like no other baked potato I've ever had. The quality has always been consistent. And, it's a great value, very inexpensive given the portion. I always stop at Thomas's anytime I travel to Houston.
