Joe's Deli

I ate there for the first time today and I had a good shrimp poboy. The woman who helped me, who I assume is owner or co-owner, was very friendly, and the whole vibe of Joe’s is down to earth and welcoming. It’s refreshing going to a non-chain, unpretentious sandwich shop that’s just interested in being a solid neighborhood spot, and not an elaborate destination restaurant. I go to chains and elaborate restaurants too, but I really appreciate small places like this. Looking forward to trying out the rest of their menu.

wow,doug,that hurt,we have been at the same spot for 27yrs and as 1of the owners i'm really sorry you had a not so good experience,but let me address some of your concerns.as a sandwich shop we do use store bought bread to keep our prices low,however, for the hamburgers and poboys ,hot or cold,we use famous royal bakery bread,a 50 plus yr.old co. that every restaurant in town is familiar with.we use gulf shrimp for our poboys,very popular.i will give you the French fries,but a month after you came in we changed the way we process the fries and buddy they are chrispy and great.we ask all new customers(we have many 20 yr. long customers) how it was just so they are satisfied,so please try us again,ask helen for exactly what you want.try our philly cheese steak,or a ruben.if you give us another chance I believe you'll be a happy customer..thanks peace
