Grub Kitchen + Bar

Great to see GKB finally opened after being closed for a long time. I’m assuming it was because of COVID-19. Layout of the place is great. There’s a bar close to the entrance and plenty of seating if you decide to dine-in. Usually, to gauge how great a place is, I would get the most basic burger/cheeseburger and see how it turns out. Thought is “if you can’t get a basic burger done right, how do you expect to get anything else right?” But I didn’t get a regular burger. Instead, I ordered the Mac N Cheeseburger with Brussels Sprouts. I’ve always had problems getting a good tasting burger at refined places. It just seems like the best burgers come from places like dive bars or something that’s not so refined. Fortunately for me, the burger I got was great. The patty they used tasted great. Perfect shape and perfect taste. The Mac N Cheese had the right amount of cheese and the macaroni was just the right softness and size. I just wished there is a way to keep the Mac N Cheese from falling out of the burger. Brussels Sprouts tasted great also. Wasn’t too hard and had just the right amount of flavor to it. Not sure exactly what they put, but I really liked it. I’m definitely going back to try a different burger. If you have that craving for a delicious burger, then you should go also.

Nice and clean restaurant. Service is friendly. We were asked if we have been here before which I haven't she kindly explained that we choose what we want to order and order upfront. My son and I ordered the green chili con queso. It was different but did not expect black beans in the dip. My son ordered the Cuban sandwich with fries. I took a bite and it was delicious. I had the salmon salad. 2 thing I did not like: 1) I do not like iceberg lettuce in my salad 2) salmon was a little fishy. It seemed overcooked. Overall, the ambiance and the service were great.

Delicious! I got the Harlem chicken tenders and my husband got the bone-in buffalo wings. I really enjoyed mine, and my husband said they were the best wings he’s had. We both got fries, which were stringy yet crispy. I tried the tipsy worms and dirt shake, and it was amazing! We will definitely be coming back!
