Bakery Donuts

In a neighborhood that has seen a lot of places come and go, Bakery Donuts is a stalwart. Others love the apple fritters, but the blueberry cake (glazed or unglazed) and cinnamon crunch cake are my standouts. Each is fantastic in its own right, with a crunchy outside and a perfect crumble on the interior. Chocolate cake donut enthusiasts also tell me those are “honestly, perfect” and “oh, wow.” Bakery Donuts has also done everything they can to keep those prices low. It’s a no frills kind of place—just the way you want it to be.

Came here a few years ago when we were visiting Houston and my husband has not stopped talking about the apple fritter. So of course when we were in town again we had to come back. We were afraid that it wouldn't match the last experience. But it did! We also got a jelly filled Bismarck, Bourdain, glazed donut, and two iced coffees. The woman behind the counter is extremely friendly and kind. We will definitely go back again and we would recommend.

I’ve enjoyed the jalapeño boudain & blueberry donut here. High quality and good taste. The owner lady remembers our Vietnamese coffee's sugar preferences and she just has the best personality. We like to frequent because of the food but also because it’s so inspiring to see people working hard and happy/grateful doing it.

Super good! I had been craving an old fashion donut for some time, and I'm glad I came in to try one of theirs. Super tasty! Glazed, chocolate iced and plain. All good! Also tried their bonding kolache another time. Great! Definitely recommend the Vietnamese Iced Coffee as well! The couple that seems to run the shop are so sweet. Absolutely recommend giving this a try!

Best donuts and kolaches right here! I had a few different kolaches, plain glazed donuts, plain cake donuts, and cranberry muffins. They were all so delicious and very fluffy and fresh! I don’t have very good photographs because I ate everything. The lady is is very kind and takes pride in her business! 10/10 would come again
