We enjoyed our stay at ancient mariner, the staff were very friendly and helpful , the accommodation was lovely ,clean and spacious , our dog was happy and contented , food was excellent and plenty of it ,would recommend highly.

A beautiful pub with very friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Delicious, high quality food and great music make this place very enjoyable. Definitely will go again.

Came for Sunday roast with family, the food was amazing (my dad's hard to impress and said he'd eat it everyday). It was a lovely atmosphere, quick service and from looking at the posters around they have all kinds of entertainment including pottery, karaoke, and sea shantys - so I will definitely come back to enjoy those. Thank you!

Great Sunday roast, big portion, lots of vegetables , tasty and plenty of gravy - a bit salty but it combined all the different flavours beautifully. Great atmosphere and plenty to choose from drinks menu!

Outstanding new menu on offer from the team at Med Restaurant in Brighton. Delicious food, varied menu with decent portion sizes at a very reasonable price. Sunday roasts are delicious too. Highly recommend!

Visited today after wanting to try the new menu for a while and living close in poets corner. How lucky we are to have a place like this on our doorstep! The staff are all so friendly and helpful, the atmosphere and decor is cosy and the food was DELICIOUS and so reasonably priced for the quality. 100% would recommend and will be coming back! Well done guys :)

Pretty cool neighborhood spot. Friendly staff. Food was very good! I asked if the ribs were tender, and was answered yes but they were fall off the bone delicious! My husband had the duck, a very unique way of serving it and it was also delicious. Also enjoyed live music.

Highly recommend the ancient mariner, good outside space, wheelchair friendly, decent selection of beers with a few jazzy options as well. Surrounded by a few other decent pubs this one has to be right up there.
