The Garden Bar

A nice, spacious pub with a good range of drinks, friendly staff and a big outdoor area at the back. The decor in the main bar area is very nice, so it's strange that the men's toilets look as though they've been transplanted from a backstreet spit & sawdust pub in the 1950s! Some room for improvement there. We didn't eat, which is why I'm not giving a rating for the food.

We had our wedding reception here! It was amazing. The staff were attentive and were very helpful during the planning process! I was amazed how it all came together and it is a day I will not forget! Thank you to Annamari, Tom, Leon, Taru, Lewis, Jack! I can't mention you all but you are all amazing and thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me and James a great day! I highly recommend the garden bar if you need a place to throw a killer party! You will not regret it 💜

I hosted my charity event at the garden bar on the 15th April and I have to say, it was the best decision I made. I was meant to of had it on the 6th may but then the kings coronation was announced. Annamarie and Lisa contacted me and helped me find a different date. The communication they had with me over the months leading up to the event was more than I expected and this made me feel more positive about how the charity event would turn out. On the day of the event, the staff on duty were so hard working and went above and beyond my expectations. Having great staff like this, really makes a difference on someone’s experience. I had also ordered different canapé’s for the beginning of my event and once again I was more than impressed. The food throughout the day was so lovely and I heard so many others say the same thing. A lot of people had come to me, to congratulate me on my hard work but I honestly don’t think it would have been as successful as it was if I didn’t pick the perfect venue so thank you to everyone at the garden bar. You’ve left such a great impression on me.

We had our wedding reception here just a few days ago and we were over the moon with everything the team put together for us. From first enquiry to last orders the experience help and support has been outstanding. The help to decorate the gardens and venue, the amazing vegan food that all our guests said was the best wedding food they had ever had, and the attentive service from the whole team through the day. Honestly we were overwhelmed with just how this lovely pub was transformed to a beautiful wedding venue - we could not recommend The Garden Bar more highly if you want to have simply the most fabulous place to host a wedding or party. Thanks to everyone there for making our most memorable day so special x

Lovely bar. Friendly staff, some were attentive whilst some were less so (a gentle from another table applied the tactic of going to the bathroom the waving at the bar staff to place orders at his table in the corner - due to COVID must place orders and pay at our tables); I had the table in sight of all staff so potentially had better service as a result. Sports shown here too. Came for a drink and a light bite, impressed by the single portion of wings for a very reasonable price. Would come again when I’m back in the area.
