B-line Bar Of Howell

Long time customer here. We recently went to the B-line, and that will be my last visit. It seemed dirty, it was extremely noisy, and my sandwich was terrible. I sent it back, and that's only the 2nd time in my 60 years that I've been served food that was inedible. I had ordered the French Dip, and the meat was thick, tough and seemed to have been overcooked. My husband tasted it and said he wouldn't serve that to our dogs! The bun also had a strange garlicky taste and disintegrated in the AuJus. On the plus side, my husband really enjoyed his Walleye even though they've stopped serving the complimentary bread steaks and bar cheese with their dinners. Between the new shrunken menu, the lack of cleanliness, loud atmosphere and decreased food quality, I won't be back. That's a sad statement, because it used to be a favorite.

Went in there on a Friday evening (dinner time). It appeared that they had 2 bartenders and only 1 waitress for the whole place, which was busy. We sat down and we’re never acknowledged. No one came to give us menus or take a drink order. After 15 minutes of being ignored, we left. Heard good things about this place, but it’s obviously not the same.

I have lived less than a half a mile from the B-line for 18 years … Food has always been good … and atmosphere always local and friendly … I understand times are challenging but this is the 3rd time in the last 6 months I have ordered a carry out and have been unhappy with my food … Orders wrong … Food is dry and overcooked … Nachos with no cheese ??? I like to support local businesses but 3 strikes and your out !!

We waited way to long to get food. It took 15 minutes to get a dinner salad. And the Antipasto Salad and Spaghetti took considerably longer. When we asked what the hold up is, the waitresses said the kitchen was busy with takeout orders. Then after 25 minutes they told us the spaghetti noodles were being boiled now and that they hadn’t had anything prepared. Then when the salad came, it did not have ANY salami and was covered with onions (onions are NOT on the Antipasto salad menu.) The spaghetti was good. It took another 15 minutes to get the salami when I was almost done eating. POOR SERVICE! Our waitress needs service training (her first name starts with D and ends with Y). First visit in a long time and will probably be the last visit.
