Twin Pond Farms

If you're planning to grow grass seed at your home: Don't buy straw from Twin Pond to create a mulch to protect your grass seed from birds and heavy rains. I've spent an obscene amount of money at Twin pond every spring and mentioned to the front desk about their straw containing the seed pods. Straw should not have any seeds in it. I planted 500$ worth of jonathan green seed and purchased 25 bales of straw to cover the 11,000 square foot area. The entire area is sprouting straw- now 20 days into germination. Don't get me wrong, the grass seed is growing.. but the straw is growing much better; not good... not happy being I mentioned this issue to them on my next fertilizer purchase and all I got was a shoulder shrug and an "I'm sorry..." For those who have read this far, purchase your straw else where or you'll have straw sprouting instead of grass seed after all of your hard work.

Awesome heros! A buddy of mine told me about this place so I checked it out and have to say well worth it. I used to reside in Brooklyn and only certain places out here carry or make boards head sandwiches and this is one of them. Well worth the money and the hero is not skimpy at all, it can definitely be shared with 2 people. The staff is fast and friendly and helpful. I did wonder around In there to see there fresh veggies and they looked amazing! Definitely will be back there for my sandwiches and other things.

I am so happy my friend and I stopped in this garden center and more . The people knew what type of plants I wanted , where they were located , soil I needed . Then stopped in the little cafe / shop for a cold drink , not to mention the coy fish are very friendly . Pass the big box places this is how to get ready for balcony or yard this summer!
