Burger Plus

Skip this overpriced portal to the diabetes dimension and just go to McDonalds... I thought it would be quaint and awesome to experience 1982 here at Burger Plus, but, sigh, 1982 feels like the worst kind of midwestern food desert. Not a vegetable in sight. (Oh, wait, didn’t Reagan say ketchup was a vegetable?) The steak special is some form of unchewable meat on a bun (white bread, of course) with “seasoned” (powder dumped on prefab) fries. At this price point, I’m not sure why sauce costs extra. Maybe I’m asking too much of the world. Maybe I would just like some nice blue state food (there is more to salad than iceberg lettuce!) before a nice red state rodeo. Kristi Noem looks like she is surely getting all her anti-oxidants, so clearly it’s possible. But I feel like I just got poisoned... UPDATE- I think I literally got poisoned. Praying I can throw this up...

DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER! The building is definitely 70's fresh but the food blew us away! You order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. Pizza burger was awesome! Kids love the different flavors of soft serve ice cream(20+). Awesome spot after a long day at the water park! I've never seen such a big menu selection at a fast food place! They even had steaks and baked potato! 😆

Burger Plus is a fantastic place to eat. The service is fast and really friendly, great low prices and their food is exceptional and hot and freshly made. I'm tired of all these fast food chains when my food isn't even warm. Best crispy fries, 24 flavors of ice cream, 99 cents. I especially love the drive-thru special!!

This place is so vintage it is awesome. I have seen brand new burger joints that were dirtier but even after the 50+ years it has been here this place looks good. To be fair the place must have been remodeled in the 70's give it take. Anyway long story short good food, good service, clean place. Give it a try, you will not regret it.

Great little throwback burger joint! Be sure to ask for ED (Erma's Dressing) for dipping your fries and onion rings, and don't forget the hamburger salt seasoning. Their steaks are surprisingly good, it's not Morton's steakhouse quality but you get what you pay for. The drive through special is a good value for the price but adding cheese to the burger is an added $0.50 (IIRC). To be honest, if you've read Stephen King's book "11/22/63", Burger Plus reminds me of the diner.

Overall murky inside appearance. Good customer service. The burger... If you'd call it that was extremely thin, the spacing between the tines of my fork was bigger. Not allergy friendly. The sandwich toppings were good. The fries were decent. Also enjoyed listening to employee give her boyfriend the 3rd to free about their relationship, during the middle of her shift.
