Main Moon Restaurant

We like going to Main Moon and getting the lunch specials. You can call your order ahead or go to the window to order and pick up your food since there is no dining in due to Covid. I personally love the fried rice and tempura shrimp. My family loves the sweet & sour chicken with fried rice. The lady at the window was really friendly.

While it's location is not ideal, tucked into a corner of small establishments, this restaurant is BY FAR the best in Idaho Falls, the atmosphere is quiet and simple, and allows one to appreciate their food for what it is. This is to say nothing of the food, which is impeccable. The meat is of tremendous quality, and noodles and rice is always cooked to perfection. We've been going to Main Moon now for about a year for our Chinese food fix and have never had a bad experience with any food items, we have taken large groups here and ordered the family style meals and have always had plenty of food and even some left overs for the next day. The staff has always been very friendly and offered explanations when our orders may have taken longer than expected, I guess the only complaint is I manage to over eat whenever we eat at Main moon.

Where to begin... This is our third time eating from this Restaurant. All other times have been great. This time, was horrible. We ordered four family dinners. It cost $65.00. It wasnt cheap. When we got home, we were missing two different kinds of chicken completely. On top of that we ordered the Cashew chicken, and when opened and tasted, it was absolutely horrid. Smelled like urine. And their were seven of us eating. We called the restaurant to let them know they forgot some food. The gal on the phone told us to bring everything back. What?? No. We were not going to do that after we waited 40 minutes for our food, had sat at the table, and opened everything up to start eating. We then told her that the cashew chicken was bad. She said its probably our taste buds... This was a horrible customer service experience, and I am very disappointed in how we were treated. Lets just say, were gonna find a new place for Chinese. Take your business elsewhere.

I went to this place only because I wanted something new, but it was probably the best experience I have ever had. I ordered some noodles and my waiter was this older man, his name was Wang Wei. At first he seemed like a normal waiter, but when I asked him for my check he asked if I was interested in Kung Fu. I said sure. Why not! So he took me behind the building and taught me my first lesson. I paid him for the lesson cause I could see he needed the cash. From then on I always came and learned more and more until before I knew it I was a whole new man. A few weeks later I was just shopping and then some big men came up to me and picked a fight, luckily I had these skills to fight. After I had kicked one of the men they both ran off. If it wasn't for Wang Wei, I would have been beat pretty good. Thank you Wang Wei, and bless your old soul.
