Super Bowl Pho

First time here and the food was fresh. They were busy but service was good. I could not eat all of my meal. I tried something different, at a new place, the grilled chicken vermicelli and was pleasantly surprised. I recommend eating here if you're in Historic Irvingington. It is always fresh and excellent!

Best Pho in the city!!! You are missing out if you haven't tried this place. Lunch specials $5.45 Monday-Saturdays. Properly steeped Jasmine tea brought in a tea pot. Rest of table got general tso's chicken, udon noodle chicken vegetable stir fry & vermicelli rice noodles w/grilled beef - everyone gave their food choices 4 to 4.5 stars and 5 star service.

Great ethnic food at an excellent price. My brother started working here in the kitchen and kept insisting on me to try it. I finally did and now im hooked. Definitely food different than what you are used to eating, but I recommend it to anyone. Lemongrass stir fry or beef/pork vermicelli are excellent introductions.

The Vietnamese food is between average and very good for Indy. However, the Chinese selections I've tried are just disappointing. The service has improved during my last two visits, but inventory management needs improvement or maybe the problem is poor communication between front, kitchen and management staff. Irvington really needs this kind of Asian restaurant and I'm -still- hopeful the issues I've seen will improve.

When you walk in the smell is amazing! I started with the spring rolls, which are served with the most amazing peanut sauce. I could only eat one or I would not have had room for my soup. I ordered the beef Pho. OMG the broth was amazing. Unlike American broth, I don't think this had any salt. If it does, you can't tell. My Pho was the best soup I have ever had. My bill for these two items was just over $14.00. Well worth it for two reasons. The first being this was the best meal I have had in years. Second is I have enough left over to eat for an entire day. Do yourself a favor and don't drink soda with your meal. Have water or unsweetened Tea. You'll appreciate a clean drink that won't cover up the amazing flavors.
