Le Peep

Some very delicious food in this perfect location. Went with my family/friends, and they had the best time eating. The conversations we had there was very interesting, i loved that the wait wasn't so long for a party of 6. It can get busy around 11-11:30 am. The waitresses were amazing and the food was superb. The salmon Benedict, the Oreo pancakes were yummy, desperado, the chicken steak, the lumberjack breakfast and the lobster omelette (something like that) are excellent choices if you come to try out some of their outstanding delights! The next time we come here I will try the salmon Benedict, our family friend Hannah had that and it was beyond expectations haha. Definitely bring between $10-$20 per plate. Anyways, at the end of the day, this was an incredible place to go and highly recommend it for a brunch.

Today for the breakfast 🍳 we went to Le peep of Las colinas. They have tasty omelette and coffee ☕️. Serves a-list variety of breakfast and lunch specials. Would recommend being there early morning to avoid wait times. This place is super busy during weekends. Two times I have went there, I had to return because there’s always a long line outside of the restaurant. This time, me and my husband went on a Friday, there was no wait. I have heard a lot of good things about this place so my expectation was pretty high. Located in a pretty convenient place, easy parking, and has outdoor dinning option (might not be a good option if it’s too sunny and hot outside, there’s no shade). Nevertheless, I was slightly disappointed with the food. I definitely had better brunch experience elsewhere. Pancakes were not bad but were not exceptional either. Hash brown and fried potato were not that fresh. When they served the coffee it wasn’t hot and neither were the potatoes. However, the servers were nice and cordial.

This wasn't the first time I've been to this Le Peep (there are a few other locations) but I wanted to get around to giving them a review because it has been since before Covid that I have been here. I came in and had the Harvest Breakfast and it was delicious! Honestly it was one of the best benedict's I've ever had because even at more upscale restaurants, the bread they put it on - from sourdough bread to English muffins - is either soggy or tough and it has been a real pet peeve of mine, but I keep trying to find the right benedict. This muffin was the perfect texture and the hollandaise was great. I was also worried that the peppers were going to be too crunchy or the mushrooms too mushy but it was all around an amazing benedict. Our server was so genuinely nice but she did forget to get a few things for us. That didn't really bother me because she had honestly said that she had started two weeks before (newsflash, that's everywhere nowadays, so why be mad about it?!) and was very pleasant and kind. Will definitely be coming back again!

Service was really really nice and relatively quick. Selection of food isn't very extensive. Gluten free options are available, but limited to toast and waffles, which is generally fine for the way you can mix and match foods. But food is pretty bland. Even the hash browns (which aren't gluten free) lacked seasoning or even salt. Belgian waffle was tasty if you ask for toppings to be added, granted the blueberries aren't fresh and tasted inconsistent between each bite. My husband got the omelet and hash. It looked really tasty, but it wasn't seasoned. The combination of eggs, vegetables, and chicken were good, but all lacked seasoning. Overall, if you're on the go and need a clean place with friendly service for a quick and filling bite, then this is the place for you. If you're looking for taste and quality, I'd look elsewhere.
