I’ve been to Godfrey’s many times but this is my first time at this location. The decor is very nice inside and the service is basic. I had the coconut shrimp and they were terrible. They were very salty and it seemed like they were fried in a heavy batter for like pork chops or something. I could look at it and tell I wasn’t going to like them. I had them many times before so I know that they are normally good.

The food was ok but definitely not good for the prices I had the ribs and the grape kool-aid /black love she said for $25.83 definitely not good I never had sweet potatoes that wasn’t peeled?

The greens, macaroni, and yams are good. I highly recommend greens and cornbread!! The jerk ribs and oxtails are super good. EVERYTHING is good. That 1 plate will get you full.

I am always reviewing places and I made a TikTok (mfields678) about this location. My food was good and I left nothing on the plate. The people were so sweet. This is the second location but the first location, I hear had more to offer at 2640 Terry Road Jackson, MS 39204. We’re going there next for the drinks with the fruit and all that good stuff. Thanks to the lady who was so helpful about this location. She needs a raise !

From looking at the sign on their building, to the decor on the inside, the customer service, and even the food. Me and my husband loved every bit Olof the experience we had. The food was spectacular and was presented extremely satisfactory.

The hours on Google don't match their actual hours. They are open 11am-8pm. After trying to 3 times almost didn't get to try this time but the employees let us go ahead and order and maybe I'll have to try it again but I wasn't super impressed. Everything was good just thought it'll be better .

We use to come to this restaurant very often. Recently, the quality of the food has diminished. The cornbread was old, the turkey was dry with hardly any sauce and not seasoned, and the rice was not cooked long enough. The cabbage was hard also.Idk who has been in the kitchen lately, but the food doesn't taste the same anymore. The food was much better when it was on Terry road. Hope he fixes the issue.

This is a new offshoot of the original Godfrey's. I had never been to the original. I feel like I've really missed out. I got the curry chicken and it was phenomenal. I recommend getting it with the beans and rice; they compliment each other so well. And they have possibly the best Mac and cheese I've ever had.
Prices are a little higher than what you think, but the quality and amount of food make it feel worth it.
