Hoptinger Bier Garden & Sausage House

This is my second visit to hoptingers and I always enjoy these kind of establishments. On my first visit, I took advantage of their beautiful rooftop bar to look out over the city of Jacksonville near the Saint Johns River. On this visit I decided to take advantage of their indoor seating. The real attraction to this location is their beer and drink selection. I love how many draft beers they have on tap and the unique items they have on their menu. I was here with another couple and the girls ordered a flight of mimosas while me and my friend tried some of their different India Pale ales. I was quite impressed with our server who was a real sport and had a great sense of humor in dealing with our table. I also liked the quality of the food and enjoyed the atmosphere immensely. You cannot take off half stars and it would not be fair to take off one full star for the only issue I had which was two of the four beers I was interested in were gone. Otherwise, I can't hold the servers or the food service accountable for that... just a minor annoyance. Otherwise, don't let that stop you from coming down here and experiencing what this restaurant has to offer.

EVERYTHING was delicious! The smashburger 🍔 was our favorite, and the fries 🍟 were good and crispy. The service was quick, and everyone was friendly. Parking was limited in the immediate area. They have multiple levels; however, the door to the part downstairs isn't the same as the entrance to the rooftop bar. It's definitely worth a try. 👍

We had a great experience here a few weeks ago. We went one afternoon for appetizers and drinks after the beach and enjoyed it so much we went back the next evening for a smash burger, which was excellent! Drinks were different and great, appetizers were yummy and filling and smash burgers with fries were the BEST! We would definitely return when visiting the area again. We went in bathing suits and cover ups, and were still welcome!

This place is cool. Nice to hangout. Beautiful people. Service is professional and nice. Definitely would cone again. THE BEERS ARE PLENTIFUL. I've been looking for a place with beers other than the usual light suspects. This place has all the local beers you wouldn't find anywhere outside of Florida. Very happy about that.
