Beach Diner

Nice little atmosphere. I ate there this morning and while the grits weren't ready (they were trying to make more but it was taking a little bit longer than anticipated) they did everything they could to accommodate me (they gave me more than they should have and I finally I said I didn't need anything else haha). Everyone was super nice and the food was great!

I have visited other locations in Fernandina and San Marco, but this was my first at the San Jose location. Clean, bright, busy and friendly staff. Outdoor seating too. I was impressed with my order of the bagel and lox. Generous portion of salmon and a nice sized bagel. Served with everything on the side, which I appreciate. Red onion, capers, cream cheese, sliced tomato. My son ordered the Benedict with crab. The egg was perfectly poached. The crab tends to make the English muffin a bit soggy. We shared halfsies.

I was here before Christmas,with a large party of 15, when I tell you that the staff went above and beyond the true definition of customer service, this alone will guarantee my return. The food. typical breakfast fare, great tasting turkey sausage. Pros : Very accommodating and attentive staff Cons :Mediocre food. I will try something different next time. Thanks Courtney😀

It was cute and the service was great. A little bit more expensive than an IHOP or Denny's, but I understand independent places like that have more overhead. Really, the only thing I wasn't thrilled with was the onions in the potatoes that came with my eggs. I wish there had been a warning about that on the menu.

Beach Diner is an amazing place for breakfast no matter which location you choose around Jacksonville. The service is consistently great. The food is a star. The San Marco location is especially fun because after filling up on the generous portions you can walk around and check out the boutiques and charming San Marco Square. If cured salmon is something you like then definitely get the bagels and lox. If not then there are several healthy and traditional menu items that are priced lower than most competitors offering similar options.
