We love this BBQ! We went back for some pork BBQ sandwiches yesterday, and it was a good as ever. I had a side of slaw, to which I add some of their homemade mustard bbq sauce and then put the slaw on my sandwich. I drench it with their homemade Carolina BBQ sauce. I love that their sandwiches are served in Texas toast, I like my toast dry but with all that sauce and slaw, the toast doesn’t stay dry for long. My husband got the pork sandwich with garlic toast and baked beans. This pork is smoked to a T - it is succulent and lean, you can’t get any better. The owner/grillmaster and his better half are right there to answer any questions or just mess with you. We highly recommend.

Was husband birthday. They gave him blackberry cobbler ice cream, it was yummy! Owners are truly down to earth. The restaurant was clean. Service was fast. Will definitely visit again.

Ordered takeout late this afternoon, asking for pulled pork, which typically they pull the pork from the bone & chop it. I asked for a lb. pulled off the bone & shredded. The owner agreed & I picked it up in 45 minutes, along with a pint of collards & pint of slaw. When I got home, placed the pork on a fresh bun with their sweet red sauce, topped with their slaw! What a delicious sandwich & great collards! Special orders don't upset them!!!

Brisket was juicy, flavorful with a light smoke. only complaint is the lunch size portion on the sandwich left me wanting more. You're probably better off ordering meat by the half pound here which is what I'll do next time.

I started eating Berndt Ends when they only had the food truck. They had the best Que on wheels. Its good to see the quality of the food haven't changed with the success of the restaurant. The ribs are still hugely meaty. The Brisket is still tender and the turkey smokey.

This is not a fancy place. Just a simple mom & pop barbecue spot. The chef and his wife, who are also the owners, run it and assisted us with everything. Giving great recommendations and telling us what he likes and specializes in. They also sell their own homemade barbecue sauce. So the chef was giving us information on that as well. The food was extremely good. I love the fatty brisket. But we also got ribs and pork as well as lean brisket and every bit of it was just delicious and seasoned so well. Sometimes barbecue can be a little dry if it's sitting for too long and that was not an issue.

Small cozy place. Good break from big bbq place. Love the staff, good and friendly people. I was a little skeptical in the beginning because of our different race, but this is a fantastic friendly place. Been here many times and will be back more

Some of the the best BBQ I've ever tasted. We had ribs, brisket, Pork sandwich, coleslaw, and smoked collards, Everything was amazing. The owner, Shaine Berndt and his wife are passionate about BBQ and it shows. I followed them on FB so I get updates on different specials. They're located on San Jose Blvd. , just about a half a mile north of 295, so if you're on 295 it's pretty easy to get to I'm looking forward to going back and try and some of the other dishes.

This is some of the best barbecue I’ve had in a long time! I got a pulled pork sandwich and it was super moist and delicious. I was in the mood for barbecue and saw this on Google. This was my first time at this restaurant and it did not disappoint! I will definitely come back! The banana pudding, ice cream is so yummy!

I'm continuing my journey to find the best bbq in Jacksonville. Today I hit the jackpot. A friend told me about Bernt Ends, and especially their deviled eggs. This place hit it out of the park. The brisket was amazing, only seconded by the diviled eggs with sweet maple bacon. And their sauces were great. Only one mystard sauce. I'll have to return just to try the other sauces.
