Newk's Eatery

My wife and I can really struggle to figure out what we want to eat sometimes. I decided to drive us to the St. Johns town center so we could have options. We ended up at Newk’s where we met Brian (I believe to be the manager). He greeted us with a big Smile and was extremely friendly. I got the Club with soup and my wife got a soup and salad. It was an amazing experience and Brian really made the trip special by making us feel so welcome. We were taken care of with the highest quality and we will definitely be back! Healthy, delicious options and excellent service 10/10

The food is delicious, the service was friendly and pretty quick even with a packed restaurant, and the prices are reasonable. At most restaurants a dinner salad is a rather small meal that might leave you less than satisfied - not so at Newks! Their salads are huge and packed with flavor - this is how lettuce should be treated!

I had a pepperoni pizza at Newks. This is the 1st time I had ever eaten at this restaurant but I've seen it several different places. The pizza was very thin crust but it had plenty of pepperoni and cheese on it. It looks like they have several Different sandwiches and that they make their own bread. The prices were decent between $8 to $15 Depending on what you ordered. I would like to go back in try a sandwich next time

A better Panera? Perhaps. Certainly bigger portions and very, very tasty. They aren't any copy-cat though, the food is very much their own, if mostly classic soups, salads, and sandwiches. Friendly service and a complimentary round table of toppings and sides (bread and butter pickles and crunchy bread sticks, among other things) seal the deal. I wish we had these in New England!

Love this place! The food was plentiful, fresh, and yummy! My steak salad was full of steak and my potato soup was thick, creamy, and delicious. They have a complementary bar filled with imported pickles, peppers, pepperoncinis, parm cheese, croutons and more which I LOVE!! It's not the most kid friendly place as my step daughter had trouble finding something on the menu that she likes. She decided on a chicken salad sandwich and did not like it one bit but THANKFULLY they took it back and made her a pizza no questions asked! Super friendly staff as well. Although I find it odd that we were asked if we wanted a drink or water after years in the resturant business I would think that would kill drink sales. But whatever! Haha! It's a super delicious, clean, fresh, and friendly restaurant!

The potato soup was good, but had too much cornstarch in it to thicken the soup. It did not sit well with my stomach and returned violently in the early morning hours. The prices are higher than average, yet nothing is exclusive nor special. It's a fast food restaurant for the trendy crowd. I am not sure I want to try it again. There is not much in the menu I eat.

I work next door but it's was my first time eating there, the girl at the front counter wasn't friendly she was very nonchalant. I walked in and told her I've never eaten there before, grabbed the first thing that looks like a menu booklet to choose. I chose something, then with sarcasm she tells me I was looking at the one for catering and that the regular one was behind me. Had she been more attentive to the fact that I was new ordering there and more pleasant, five stars would be given. The turkey avocado was great; however, my bread was burnt.

Love the food and the people are beyond friendly! They have a great selection from sandwiches to salads and soups, but don’t forget to try the pizza. The sides are even amazing, but who doesn’t love mac & cheese. I forgot to tell you that the cake is amazing!!!!!!! Don’t count out the delicious crispy treats and brownies.
