Captain D's

It's been a long time since I stopped at Captain D's. That's due to my current home is nowhere near one. If there was one, even within 20 miles of my house, I would be a regular guest. I got the two piece fish with fries and added a side of clam strips. It was a great and very tasty dinner. I noted they are serving flounder along with the usual shrimp and chicken offerings. The meal was topped off by the more than friendly service. This Captain D's in North Jacksonville was well worth the time to stop.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I met a young lady 16 months ago through the drive thru, I will never forget the kindness and excellent service I received...Tineshia is the AM (AssistantManager) no matter, since the 1st visit, I try and go back at least 1 or 2 times a month...My Husband met her after leaving the hospital in Jacksonville... this young Lady should be the representative for Captain D's...We live in Georgia and have a Captains D's 15 minutes from us, but We will travel 40 minutes away to visit the Captain D's on Dunn Avenue because of the caring and great service we received from Tineshia!!! We have taken our granddaughters meet this young Lady, and they LOVE HER!!!

Captain D's is a seafood restaurant chain mostly famous in the Southeastern United States. Their cuisine is very tasty and surprisingly filling. I ate there fish and chips special and staved off hunger for the rest of the night (although I did save half of so for later that night). All around it was a pleasurable experience. However, the only thing I wasn't crazy about was the taste of their tartar sauce. It left a bit to be desired if you ask me. Their butterfly shrimp is also on the smaller side so be forewarned. All around, I'd say it was definitely good enough to eat there again.

The drive thru staff is always friendly and personable. Food is always hot, but that comes at a small price of being asked to park and have it brought out to you. The wait is never long and the food box is piping hot. Full disclosure I ordered the southern fried white fish and this is not mass cooked. I think it's pretty much cooked to order... Hope this helps!
