Modu Ramen

Omg first time at Modu, everything was perfect, food was way too delicious, exactly what I needed. Soothing noodles on a cold night. Wings so perfectly cooked, so flavorful I don’t know how they make them so crispy but definitely they know what they are doing. My Curry Tonkatsu was so goood, even the strawberry Soju we loved it. Ambience great, the place looks nice and cozy. Our server was perfect as well, so nice and kind, very respectful yet nice, answered every question we had and made us feel so welcome and definitely willing to go back, next time with more people of course. This is my absolute favorite ramen spot in Jacksonville. I've tried most of the other popular ramen spots and none of them can hold a candle to MODU. My absolute favorite dish is the Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen. Always afd extra pork, extra mushrooms, and corn. It's absolutely delish! I'm also a fan of their Korean spicy honey fried wings.

My first time dining here and the ramen was absolutely delicious. I got the miso ramen and everything in it was perfect. We also had mango sake which was dangerously good! I don’t typically mind when the food takes a while to be served if I am with good company because we just end up chatting but it should be noted it took more than 30 minutes to receive our dishes.

We ordered Tantan Men and Tonkotsu Ramen, both are flavorful and scrumptious. We hope they can add a little bit more soup to balance the portion of noodles and soup. But honestly we enjoyed every part of it. Also the Takoyaki is a must try. The staffs are polite and welcoming. We like the vibe of the place.

Whenever I go to a new city I try to find ramen in the area. The ramen at Modu was probably the best bowl I ever had. It was one of the only times I didn’t feel the need to add any sauces, spices or oils to it because everything was so flavorful as it was. The chasu was delicious and had a lick of smoke to the flavor, the marinaded egg was delicious and the noodles were the perfect texture. I was also impressed that they are made fresh in house daily!!! All of it was delicious. I’ll be looking for another excuse to go to Jacksonville so I can return!

It was an absolute pleasure and surprise to blindly choose a ramen shop in an unusual city and end up here. Best bowl of ramen I've had in a long time, and I always seek ramen when I'm in a new city so I've had it all over. Every ingredient was made with care, and the excellent noodles are made in-house by a chef who trained in japan. The front of house guy who took care of us was very friendly as well. Just go!
