Waffle House

Absolute trash service. Sat down and started the timer. Restaurant wasn't that busy. Small handful of customers. Waited over 10 minutes and didn't even get a server to say hi. The "security guard" made his way over to FINALLY ask if we wanted beverages. THE SECURITY GUARD! Step up your game, Waffle House! Doesn't take brain surgeon to get a drink order in a Reasonable amount of time. Your prices went up, but the service went down. Horribly.

Jacksonville waffle House customer service was really really bad today. First they would not take a to-go order over the phone. So I decide (because I really really want waffle House) that I will go there and place my order and wait for it to go. When I get there which is 7 minutes after my phone call to place the to-go order there are only two customers inside with three waitresses and the cook. After about 10 minutes of sitting waiting for my order to be taken a man comes in sits beside me at the bar and the waitress takes his order within about 3 minutes. I waited about another 10 minutes before I finally just got up and walked out.

We stopped for a good breakfast. Our server Lainey was very sweet and attentive. She took our order and turned it in to the kitchen. While waiting we noticed how dirty the floor was. There was even a slice of bacon on the floor behind the counter. We received our drinks timely. About 15 minutes after we arrived, a couple came in and sat at the booth next to us. They ordered. Their first plate was delivered and Our server apologized saying our food would be out shortly. Then she brought the side of sausage that was precooked and sitting in an oven. A few minutes later she brought the other tables complete order. After waiting a few more minutes, we got up, paid for our juice, left and went to another restaurant where we were served promptly.
