Waitstaff is super attentive and sweet. Do yourself a favor and get everything on the menu. You won’t Regret it

Their changing seasonal menu never disappoints. They know what they’re doing when it comes to food and atmosphere here. The ingredients are fresh and prepared with so much attention, care, and pure love. Every meal I have here is memorable and delectable. When my partner and I began planning for our small wedding, we knew the most important thing to us would be the food. We also wanted an atmosphere that felt like a family home, warm and inviting. Corto checked off all the boxes for us. We booked the restaurant for a Friday night and invited 38 guests. We held our ceremony on the pergola, a cocktail hour inside and had our reception outside. We worked with Love Wed Collective (from right here in JC) and with the help of Corto we had a gorgeous celebration. While we were confident in the restaurants ability to make an amazing meal for our guests, any kind of wedding planning can be stressful and comes with a lot of questions. Matt was amazing throughout the entire process, from start to finish. He was supportive when the COVID spike overwhelmed me, he was patient when I had a million questions about setting up/meal, he was thoughtful in making great suggestions for helping the night run smoothly. He was truly so helpful and integral to the success of our wedding! Everyone, even our pickiest of eaters raved about the food, which wasn’t a surprise to us...I mean it is amazing. The staff here is remarkable; they made sure everyone had what they needed and made us a feel like family. We wanted to start our marriage in a place that represented love and warmth, while recreating the delicious intimate meals we have shared as a couple. We were successful in this because of the amazing staff at Corto.

We took my daughter here for her Birthday. We loved it. Homemade pasta homemade ricotta cheese omg excellent. They make a ricotta honey toast that is unbelievable. I usually don't care for ricotta but this was different and delicious. The incrusted bass fish there are no words to describe how delicious it is. Definitely will be going back. Did I tell you it has outside seating which is so pretty. Unfortunately there was no room for us so we sat inside. Either way it's a great place to eat.

Corto has the best pasta in Jersey City. My friends and I ordered family-style and shared three different pastas: rigatoni, malfadini, and gnocchetti sardi. Each of them were delicious, but the standout was the malfadini, which had a delicious peppery taste. We also loved the ricotta & honey toast appetizer - the cheese was fluffy, and the top was loaded with spice. The inside of Corto is small and the staff is personable, both of which added to a really homey, comfortable vibe. We will definitely be going again!

This place may just be my new favorite restaurant in the area! Incredible, fresh, and well-prepared simple but flavorful Italian dishes with fantastic al-dente pastas and tender meat dishes (highly recommend the Rigatoni and the Angry Chicken). Even the ricotta and honey toast starter blew my friends and I away. Don't trust anyone who dislikes the menu! The atmosphere is great as well, cozy dining room with an open kitchen that is fun to observe, and nice outdoor area in back If you go with a decent sized group, heavily recommend doing the family-style option, if available. Everything was chosen by the kitchen directly and it was fun to be surprised by their best offerings. All our crew loved it and the boys will definitely be back soon enough.

Visiting our son and daughter in law last weekend in Jersey City and had a fantastic meal here. All dishes were delicious, so fresh, homemade pastas outstanding, sauces perfect, very innovative dishes. Delicious Sea Bass and each bite of pork was so tender. The best meal we have had in years. BYOB is nice feature. They concentrate on preparing and serving the best food. Wish I could eat here once a week but too far from NC! What a gem of a restaurant.
