Dolya Blini Cafe

Very friendly service and the Blinis tasted great. We ordered the Babushka and the Fiesta Siesta with chorizo. Babushka was filled with mashed potatoes, with onions,bacon and horse radish cream. They also gave us a bit more of the horse radish cream on the side for dipping, which was great, cause it gave the Babushka some extra omph. The Fiesta Siesta is like a burrito in a Blinis instead of a tortilla, which makes softer and lighter. Highly recommend the chorizo with it, cause it gives it a bit of saltiness and different texture. Great for a snack or a light lunch. Portion might be a bit small if u have a bit appetite though. In addition to the savoury one we had they also have sweet blini. We will try those next time.

The young man working there was very nice and the blini tasted ok but just ok, and it was relatively small.My main issue is the price. I placed an order over the phone, because we all know how Jersey City parking is.I ordered after finding the menu on line and getting a paper copy while I was walking downtown a few weeks ago and they were the same.I thought that price was too high but I like trying new places so I gave it a shot. When I got there and I went to pay it was 3 dollars more than online and a copy I received 10 days ago. The board did not have a price either.I thought about not taking it but I felt bad for the kid making it and about food being wasted. Overall, disappointing and wasted money.
