My mother and I had a delightful evening at Mr George’s on Saturday night. They managed to squeeze us in at 8pm. We had a table inside and the atmosphere was joyful yet still you had privacy. Our waiter Ebna, looked after us so well. He was extremely attentive, charismatic, funny and friendly. He told us he had only been doing this role for 1 week which surprised us as he was such a natural. We hope if we are to return, he would be serving us again!
Like our waiter, our food was also 5 stars. We ordered the vegan California rolls for starters- yum yum yum, and the beef fillet and salmon for mains. Along with sides, everything was cooked to perfection and was packed full of flavour. We ended the 3 hour meal with a Dom Pedro.
Thank you for such a beautiful introduction to Johannesburg.

Wow! Never been disappointed by the food, service or atmosphere. The manager Nishal is amazing along with his remarkable staff. Salmon tacos…ammmazzzzzing!!! But the burger Mmmmm…let’s just say pick a couch to sit on cos you’re gonna need an indulgent nap of satisfaction afterwards 😋🥰💯

Tried the French dip sandwich. Beef fillet was tender and the dipping sauce was rich and full of flavor. The rest of the group had the sushi, poke bowl and pasta. All the food tasted amazing and service was friendly

There are many restaurants in Melrose but I chose Mr George for experience ,it was a good choice indeed ,I loved everything,

Faultless experience from the warm welcome to attentive service and great food at affordable prices. We enjoyed a delicious hummus starter and chicken and beef pregos with sensational chips. Definitely lives up to the recent review in The Citizen newspaper. Thank you to Litha and the team.

Second time going to this restaurant. The staff is amazing. There’s no way you will leave without giving someone a tip. The food is amazing. The first time I had oxtail and the second time I had steak. Freaken amazing. Thank you for the great service and good food. The prices are also reasonable for the top class service. 😭😊🙌🏾🙏🏽
