Rocomamas The Colony

I always enjoy rocco mamas and I often get the vegetarian option because it is delicious and I like to switch it up but the meat options are even better. Whenever we come here service is fast and the food is good. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual but it isn't as big as many of the other rocco mamas which isn't a bad thing. They do serve a small selection of alcohol which goes down nicely with a burger or wings.

Good location for a burger joint though the store itself is quite small. I wouldn't like to be there when it's busy as there is very little space to manoeuvre as it is. The food itself is delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful but yea, I'd keep this particular stop to a take-away if I can help it.

I am a chef who had just knocked off a graveyard shift. I had a burger and a drink. The burger itself was quite magnificent. I thoroughly enjoyed it but the service was on another level. It was raining and gloomy but Leslie and Isabel were fantastic. I was exhausted from my job UT I walked out with a little more energy. Be careful our hotel is looking for staff of that kind😁

I love rocomamas!! Their burgers are great in that you can get a wide variety of toppings for a very reasonable price point. They make the best shoestring fries ever! The service at Rocomamas is great and the employees are always very friendly. The seating is very family friendly and the environment is very fun and welcoming.

I really adore this restaurant. The staff are friendly and willing to help, the food is always superb, never once have I needed to ask the manager when the other half of my toppings will arrive. You get your full portion of food with a smile. It is clean, it is convenient. What else could we ask for?

Update: Once again, blown out of the water with the welcoming, friendly nature of staff(Diana), but the biggest thing that keeps us coming back is the top quality, fresh, awesome food! Burgers-world class! Feta and jalapeño bombs-blown away delicious! Cheesy chips-mmmm!! Keep it up and we will keep coming back! Excellent service(ask for Thabang), good burgers, with a whole variety of toppings(create your own). Wings with BBQ let them down a bit, but the cheesy chips will keep you coming back, as will the “Death by chocolate milkshake”. Seating in and outside creates a nice vibe. New management seems committed to having clean, efficient, friendly restaurant. Definitely recommend.

Best takeaway / quick burger place in joburg. Really good quality food every time. Never had a problem at any rocomamas branch. Their mayo is delicious, so are the chilli cheese fries. Ordering is a really cool system where you fill in a Form with your order and then they take that. You can also call them and place an order for pickup. Fully licensed and the expected array of beers on tap (castle light, Jack Black, devil's Peak ale)
