Reserved Cafe

Found this little gem over the weekend. Food is beautifully presented and tastes heavenly. Portions are good, service is lovely and friendly, with seating inside or outside. The Manager has a heart of gold and assisted an old gentleman with a meal and milk, the old gentleman didn't have any money. Sir, I take my hat off to you. God bless you and your staff.

For those unaware, Melville is in a bit of a decline. There are still businesses bravely hanging on, and I think we owe it to them to keep them open through our patronage. Reserved Cafe is a modern interpretation of those lovely Portuguese restaurants that used to be well kept secrets in the southern and eastern parts of Jozi. The kind of places that served flaming choriço in a traditional terracotta dish at your table. I saw those dishes lined up at the bar/kitchen and immediately smiled in recognition. We didn't stop by for food though, sadly not we did enjoy a few drinks in the outside terrace which had planters growing herbs which are the mainstay of Portuguese cuisine, Rosemary and Bay Laurel. Service was maybe a little bit too laid back, but it was a Sunday afternoon, so all is forgiven.

Received absolute 5-star service from Danny and his team at Reserved Café! 🙌🏻😃 I required a private chef that could execute a tastey and interesting menu for a private wedding at home and Danny did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious and the guests loved it! ❤️😍🙌🏻 I would highly recommend Reserved Café for your functions!
