The Alcove

Beautiful setting with the option to sit inside or out. We had both breakfast and dinner here. Breakfast - excellent choice buffet style. Dinner al-a-carte. Comfortable and relaxed environment. Lovely service and really delicious food. I have allergies and the staff were careful to make sure my meal was safe for me.

We visited Alcove for the buffet breakfast. We were a large group of 10 people (adults and kids) and we all enjoyed the breakfast. The kids really enjoyed the fresh fruit and endless fruit juices. The coffee was lovely and hot and plenty of variety. All the staff were super friendly and assisted when needed. We really enjoyed this family treat and look forward to visiting again.

Been hearing positive reviews about the restaurant from people I know especially from the in laws as they've dined out from there before and been reading good comments in the Facebook page. So when the chance came to try out the restaurant, we took it and got very excited! It was a last minute plan and we were lucky to get a table. When we got there, we waited for a few minutes as it's quite full and our table isnt ready. But it did not bother us at all because we enjoyed catching up with our family friends in a waiting area where there is a bar and you could enjoy having drinks and chatting while having a seat. I gave it a 4/5 ratings. Nearly perfect apart from some teeny minor details. The restaurant has one of the best ambiance and perfect for any gathering or special occasions. It is warm and cosy inside and the staff are very friendly. I appreciate that they are kid friendly too. Our 4 years old came with us for dinner and they provided an activity paper with some coloring which my son enjoyed. When we ordered our foods , we didnt wait for a long time to be served. We ordered the sardines for entree with chorizo and it was splendid! Its tastes nice. I took only some pictures of our food but not all of it. My picture does not do any justice on how good the foods were. I have the seafood paella as I love anything seafood. It tastes absolutely yummy and serving size is good too. My husband and mother in law have the lamb and it's very tender. We got the BBQ Brussels sprout salad and I for one can't believe that I love how it taste together with the other things in the salad. You can taste the freshness of the veggies. Dessert was superb! We shared and match it with espresso Martini. They got the best espresso Martini. The only thing that makes me not give them a perfect rating is there's a hit and miss on some of the foods. Like my father in law ordered pork belly, and I find it a bit dry when he shared with us. Maybe if there's a sauce on the side that goes with it and maybe a bit of carb too as its paired with some veggie that some people doesnt like to eat one. Though I know the restaurant serves a Mediterranean Middle Eastern foods. One last thing too, when they served the dessert my mother in law and our family friend ordered the same which is a sticky date pudding however my MIL requested a gluten free option because she is gluten intolerant. However when we asked, the staff who served it didn't respond which is which. I would recommend to have the same person getting orders and serving it with to avoid any confusion next time. Overall , we have an unforgettable and wonderful dining experience at the restaurant. Highly recommend to everyone who wants to check the place out.

Seafood pasta at its finest... Between my wife and I, we tried the gnocchi with Gorgonzola, prawns and Zucchini and the 'Nero' -squid ink taglione with fresh seafood and chilli, as recommended by the friendly waitress. Both of the dishes were faultless and I wouldn't have changed a thing on either dish. It was clear that everything, including the pasta was made in house and that the chefs knew exactly what they were doing. We look forward to coming back, and may even order the same two dishes!

The menu was quite limited, but the food was nice and tasty. Good atmosphere too. But the kids food was a bit of a letdown. The mini burger was really mini, would be good if it were a bit bigger. There were no meat in the pasta either . FYI, Optus reception (data) inside is quite bad. But free wifi is available.
