Trout Town Tavern & Eatery

It was a great stop. Server was nice and friendly. Hostess was fast and kept our table clear. Food was good. Building was clean and bathrooms are sweet looking. I had a burger and it was tasty. Also had spring roll and some nachos. All good. My brother in law had the Mac and cheese with brisket which was epic.

I stopped by here for a business lunch after a recommendation and they did it disappoint. I was seated promptly at a flat top and ordered a cup of cheddar ale soup that was excellent. I also had the turkey bacon avocado sandwich with kettle chips that was very good. 7 craft beers available from local breweries. Daily specials. Flat top and booth seating. Friendly efficient service. Clean restroom. WiFi password provided. I would definitely recommend and return.

The place is small and feels very cozy. It's almost like eating dinner with a large family. The staff members were super friendly and checked in on you enough but not too much. The place had a lot of nice rustic decorations that brought back some nice memories. The menu has a variety of things to choose from. We chose the brisket and fish dinners. The brisket was sliced thin and has a nice smoky flavor to it. The meat was tender and had some fat still holding on for flavor. The choice of 4 different sauces just added to the flavor. The tater tots were cooked perfectly with them being crispy on the outside but not dried in the middle. The fish was flavorful and had a nice coating on them. The French fries were perfect as well. It’s a small place filled with flavor and kindness. Definitely will stop in again, when able.

We were here Saturday about 11:30 to have lunch with a group of family. 12 of us. The waitress, Jaline, never blinked an eye, put tables together, and started about taking care of us. She was very efficient, all about business, but still very friendly and made us feel welcome. We made sure her tip reflected that. All 4 generations thought the food was very good which is saying something!

The experience we had here was fantastic. The food tasted great and the Black Cherry soda was a nice change of pace. The fish tasted amazing and the loaded appetizer was laden down with pulled pork. The presentation of everything was superb and I look forward to eating here again. The coleslaw was fresh and tasted amazing.

The food is awesome, ended up here because of storms returning from Traverse City, totally unplanned. Wonderful staff, great food, great BBQ, the perch, the meatloaf and you have to try the Dirty Tots. The homemade banana cream pie was actually the best I have ever had. Don’t miss this place if you are in the area. You just never know where the Lord will guide you 😊

Delicious! We tried the soup trio, a caesar salad, pretzels, cod fish and chips, perch fish and chips, coleslaw, and the very best homemade cheesecake! This particular cheesecake is not always there but it was the best cheesecake we've ever had. The server, Liz, was the best part. Very sweet and kind. Overall great food, excellent service. We left happy and full and with left overs. The white chicken chili is very good, it hit the spot on a chilly day. We will be back when we come back up this way.

This is a must visit. The pulled pork and sauces ere some of the best I've ever had. I'm a coleslaw connoisseur and can I say this is by the "BEST" I've tried. I should have ordered to bring some home. My husband got to smothered brisket, that did not dissapoint as well. Would visit again hands down! There sodas on tap are pretty good too, I'm not normally one for the "homemade" sodas. But I would drink again.

It was a very busy Saturday evening and almost didn’t go in due to the parking lot being packed. We were greeted right when we walked in and sat. The staff worked together amazingly and the hostess was very nice. The food was great and a good drink menu. It’s a great place for dining with family or a date night.
