On The Rocks

I am sorry I took this long to reply but I am still in shock and forever grateful. We had a group of golfers come up from the coast and we ate at this bar a couple of nights. Food was great and service was good considering how darn busy this place was girls where swamped. I paid my bill and went back to my hotel. Woke up and my wallet was nowhere to be found. Out of town.. couldn't pay my room or golf... went back to this pub and they had it and I got it back with everything in it.. made my day and belief in honesty.. thank you so much as I cannot express how I felt before and after I found it.. there is still honest hard working people in this province and they need to be praised so thank you again as you made my day..

We were lucky enough to be directed to On the Rocks by the hotel we stayed at in Kamloops. The service was great and food excellent. We have not had a great experience with fish and chips in a pub but our orders here were cooked to perfection. The homemade tarter sauce was unique and a very nice change from what you would expect. Everything was so good we chose to have dinner here on our way back home from vacation a week later.

Stopped here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. It was quite busy but we were seated immediately. Service was prompt, efficient and friendly! I had the Crown Jewel sandwich (mozza, cheddar, jack, swiss, tomato, avocado, lettuce, bacon, turkey and mayo) with a side salad. The sandwich was delicious and very filling. I would describe it as a grilled cheese sandwich with bacon and turkey. My husband had the El Camino burger (cheddar cheese, monterey jack cheese, pico de gallo, jalapenos, avocado, chipotle sauce, corn tortillas) and was a bit disappointed. He said it was only OK and lacked flavour.

The good. The atmosphere was fun. The deep fried pickles were super tasty. The drinks were spot on! The really bad. They served us raw chicken wings! Cold and bloody raw! I put them at the edge of the table. The waitress came and took them away. When she brought me the bill she pointed out that she didn't charge us for the raw uneaten wings. Really impressive.
