Red Collar Brewing Company

Best brew pub in Kamloops. Whenever I travel, I try to find a pub that has the same atmosphere and good beer that the Red Collar offers. They have a great variety of beers that are almost always available so the cater to everyone's tastes. They also do cocktails, so you can bring your non-beer drinking friends.

Great food and atmosphere. Amazing staff. Best beer in town. I do have to say though your Haskap gin was the 2nd worst bottle of gin I've ever had. To call it gin is a bit of an overstep as you sweetened it way to much. It stains my countertop with every drop spilled and forgotten briefly. It's so sweet me and a friend had to switch back to Bombay. I would say this is very similar to Tempos Blueberry gin with the sweetness cranked to 11, thus removing the gin flavor. I am very interested in trying the other flavor as the store said you released two so I will hunt for that. I do want to say thank you so much though, for starting to create local spirits. I would have loved to review this place based on their beer or food. However, well had called the day before to ensure they allowed dogs in their brewery/Tap room. We were informed that with the current weather conditions that their 'fireplace' room where they normally allow dogs was closed, but was allowing dogs into their interior tap room. Great! So the next day we headed here. Before we parked and went into the brewery, we stopped in and asked again if dogs were allowed and again were told that they would be allowed in, no problem. Once we got in, we were seated in a corner by the bathrooms since they wanted to keep the dogs away from everyone else and also out of site (that's fine). Our dog is a trained, well socialized bernedoodle, but one of the other patrons, on his trip back from the bathrooms attempted to pet our dog and startled him. Of course he barked, immediately, one of the employees came over and kicked us out. This really wouldn't have been an issue if they had initially just told us this place wasn't dog friendly when they didn't have their fireplace room open. Will not likely come here again. It's too bad since it's close by and we wanted to try out another brewery that was "pet friendly".

Fantastic place! I had all but three of the beers on tap and each one was better than the last... But the real star of the night was the lemon pepper chicken wings! They were by far the most flavourful wings I've ever had. If you have time to kill stop on by and spend an hour or two in a great shop with board games, friendly staff, and amazing beers!
