Swiss Chalet Rotisserie & Grill

I would give it 5 stars but I have been going to swiss chalet for 40 years in Ontario....Home of Swiss Chalet and they always give a warm finger bowl with lemons. It is a Swiss Chalet ritual. NOT THIS TIME. It may sound trivial to most but this has been part of the Swiss Chalet experience from day 1. At this swiss chalet we received ice cold bowls of water with zero lemon in it. We only got 1 at the table of 4 adults and my wife had to ask for at least 1 more for herself....hers arrived with ice cubes floating in it. No lemon in hers either. She inquired about the lemon bowls and the server stated that in BC they only give them to people who order ribs. She said they just got a letter today stating that they were supposed to start giving these bowls of warm lemon water to all chicken or rib orders. Our food was incredibly delicious here though and our server was exciting and friendly and polite beyond words. She was truly a breath of fresh air. Her manager went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and even 30 minutes after closing, they refused to rush us out the door. We will definitely return to dine here. Family of 4 visiting from Alberta and stopped In for a quick bite, service was outstanding, our waitress was Tara and she was extremely attentive and friendly and also had great sense of humor. Beer was cold food was hot. Tara is very good at her job and made the lunch worth stopping in for all on her own. Thanks for such amazing service Tara. Waitresses like this make people come back.
