The Original Marini's Empanada House

I was really craving empanadas and found this place searching Google maps. I ordered 3 different “entree style” empanadas - Chicken BBQ, Bacon burger & English. Cheeseburger was definitely my favorite ! I love that they were all filled so well & not tons of bread with a little bit of filling ( pictures included ). The ENGLISH was ok, I expected more from it. The filling was a bit dry like it could’ve been made the day before, but I loved the potatoes inside with the vegetables. The BBQ chicken was good but I wasn’t wowed & I actually ordered the Texas BBQ or whatever comes with brisket and I didn’t realize until I drove away. No big deal because I’m gonna go back anyway & I would’ve tried the BBQ chicken eventually. The breading is a bit thick and doughy. Overall, good bang for your buck, very nice employees, no inside seating so prepare to take your food to go, must wear a mask to enter, large selection of entree style and dessert empanadas, would recommend. Oh and the chimchurri is so yummy!

I’ve been going to the Marini’s in the Westchase area of west Houston for 10 years or more. About a year ago my wife and I moved out to Katy, and I am so glad to once again, be living 5 minutes from the best empanadas around! My personal favorite is the Texan BBQ, and my wife can’t live without the Chicken Cordon Bleu and the Apple Gabriela for dessert. The Marini family truly cares about their product and provides excellent customer service. They have earned my weekly business.

I have nothing but great things to say about Marini's. I've never been disappointed in my food. The menu has great variety (of empanadas) so you can satisfy almost any craving in a small handheld dough pocket. The buffalo chicken and chicken poblano are excellent if you want heat. All of the BBQ varieties are great, my favorite is the Texas brisket. The Gaucho is a classic and delicious. The dessert selection never fails. Service wise, I have to say I've never eaten in the shop because I didn't discover this place until mid-pandemic. The take out service is efficient and easy, though. They will bring it out to your car or you can go in and grab. I call in orders and they've never made a mistake. The price is very fair in my opinion. I'm a big guy and I can be satisfied with two of them, so that's good value. Overall, I recommend you try it.

Always good,freshly made to order food!! Staff is wonderful!! Did i mention delicious food??? Lol...give them a try, you will be hooked! Meat, vegetarian and fruit empanadas. Something for every tastebud!! Fresh food, great staff, clean restaurant with good ambiance, they have it all! Both locations are terrific! I frequent the Westheimer location more due to my work location, but when I am at home in Katy, ill visit here! The only downside, no parking, just park in the Walgreens parking lot and walk over. Its a shares parking lot, with other stores.
