This was our first time on the drive thru, the colors and design of the building attracted us and the menu was very extensive with lots of items to choose from, we ordered just a plain gyro to try, the server on the mic was very polite and patient and amicable, and helpful, our food took a little bit to come out but its understandable, the server knew it was our first time there, and gifted us with some side and delicious hummus with pitta bread and French fries and tzakiti sauce, we complemented her on being so kind and providing excellent customer service, rare to find nowadays, especially at a drive thru. The gyro was very filling. We will definitely go back.

I have been looking for a place to get gyros that taste like the ones in Chicago. This is the closest one yet! They even sell Italian beef sandwiches and pizza puffs all of which are Chicago staples!!!! It’s pricey in my opinion on the pizza puffs! They are really cheap in the Chi but otherwise I enjoyed the food and the service. Will go back 😌

Very cool 50s blue diner vibe at Pappa Gyros. The food that I’ve tried has always been decent. Most recently, I had a Philly cheesesteak that I wasn’t too impressed by. While I generally like the food here, I wasn’t too fond of this Philly cheesesteak. While the meat was tasty, the cheese on this cheesesteak was very underwhelming. It reminded me of a slice of cheese just thrown on top of the steak and warmed up a bit. It could’ve had more cheese and in my opinion it should’ve been mixed and melted in the steak. I’m a big fan of cheesesteaks and this one isn’t my favorite. I coupled the sandwich with onion rings, which were pretty good compared to some other ORs I’ve had at other establishments. They were thick cut rings, but the onions were soft and not raw like other thick cut rings. I have to say that I really like the fries though. I snagged a few from my daughter and they were really good. All that said, all of the staff is and has always been so friendly and super helpful. They’re always so willing to do whatever it takes to take care of their customers. Also, they give kids free ice cream on Mondays. So delicious! The restaurant is always clean and well organized, as are the restrooms.
