Great freak shakes and a great atmosphere. Staff were fun and friendly. They make the whole experience a fun time for even the adults. The cupcakes are delicious. Homemade buttercream icing that is not too sweet but buttery and delicious. We will keep returning. It's my 8 year olds favorite place to go.

I and some friends heard about this place, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I must say I was quite surprised! The food is good! The atmosphere is classic. Not in a classic themed way but classic like a small family and friends run business. The food as I stated before was great. But the desserts I feel are and will be it's claim to fame. I was amazed what could be put in a cup! Check out the website the image on the home page should tell you what to expect. If you are in Edwardsville this place if worth the trip.

I've been following Get Your Cake Up on Facebook for a few months, after seeing a Lucky Charms Freak Shake shared by a friend in a local FB food group. We finally decided to go there one Sunday evening after dinner. It's on Main Street in Edwardsville, so parking was a little limited but being Sunday early evening, we found something just up the street about a block or so. They had 2 chairs and a little metal bistro type table out front, where 2 people were enjoying their treats. Inside there is an old school counter with stools covered in the cutest macaroon design. There were also booths to sit at, but to get the real ice cream shop experience, we sat at the counter. 1st thing I noticed was the sign that said something along the lines of "All of our items are hand made and take time to create, please be patient." There is a large chalk board sign that lists out all the items they offer, but our concentration was on the Freak Shake list!! They had a few pictures showing the various Freak Shakes that they offer, which were a huge help in deciding!! Husband picked the Strawberry Cheesecake Freak Shake and I chose the Chocolate Peanut Butter Freak Shake. There was a very sweet girl taking the orders and cleaning up, and another making the delicious masterpieces. There were a few orders ahead of ours, so it took a little while to get our shakes (which we didn't mind, as we know good things take time) We waited about 20 mins, but man when we got our Shakes, we were NOT disappointed!! Hubby's Strawberry Cheesecake Freak Shake was topped with a piece of cheesecake, 2 strawberry wafers, a bite sized strawberry cupcake, a full sized Strawberry Crunch Good Humor bar, a slice of strawberry poundcake and the shake itself was made with vanilla ice cream with strawberry syrup mixed in. Also, the outside of the cup had a layer of strawberry icing sprinkled with crushed graham crackers. My Chocolate Peanut Butter Freak Shake had a full sized peanut butter crunch Good Humor bar, a bite sized brownie, a reese's cup, peanut butter Oreo and a nutter butter cookie. The outside of the cup had a layer of peanut butter with chocolate sprinkles and the shake was chocolate ice cream with peanut butter mixed in. Each Freak Shake was just $8.00, which is a really great price for the overall size of what you get!!! Highly recommended!!! We will definitely be going back, and bringing friends who also enjoy yummy treats!!

Amazing atmosphere, great food and fantastic staff. The music is refreshing and not cheesy like in most restaurants, it's like entertaining a fantasy world of tasty treats. Definitely a place for the whole family to enjoy and everything is priced perfectly considering the great quality. Great for trips after work and or school.
