Dan's Variety Bakery

We love Dan's. We try to get some every time we are visiting family because we live out of town. I was so busy looking down admiring and picking out the donuts while I was in line that I didn't see the Cash Only sign. Oops! The super efficient, nice young gentleman set my fresh picks aside while I left to go get cash from a local ATM. I was so thankful because they run out so fast. They probably never have day old donuts because they are all snatched up and gone by 9 or 10 in the morning. So tasty!!! They were all eaten up too quickly to take pics. Lol.

Went on a Tuesday at 1:10ish after they opened and only waited about 10 minutes. $10 for a dozen donuts or $1 each. The prices are fair. I really wish their hours were better and/or they answered their phones. I'm always disappointed whenever I want Dan's because 1.) they're sold out of everything good by the time normal humans wake up, 2.) they never answer their phones to place orders, 3.) they're closed, 4.) they only accept cash and now I have to find an ATM nearby that's open, or 5.) all of the above. You really have to plan ahead to get Dan's. The donuts weren't hot when I went Tuesday after they opened, but they were still good. It sucks, but if we had a Krispy Kreme in town, I'd rather go there for the convenience. Overall it was meh.
