Shim Shim

This is a reputed Tibetian food joint in Kolkata. It specialises in a plethora of Tibetian and Chinese cuisines and some of them are truly unique. I tried out their famous steamed momos and another fried chicken dish. Both the items tasted delicious, even though it's nothing out of the world. The restaurant ambience resembles the beautiful Tibetian Culture, with various cultural posters, wallpapers and a photo of the Dalai Lama. The location of this restaurant is a bit tricky, so you need to take the assistance of Google Map, if you are a first time visitor. The customer service is praiseworthy and the prices of the foods won't put too much stress on your bank balance. Recommended. 👍

The place though difficult to locate is a hidden gem for all you beef lovers. But, the chicken dishes are equally good. Well cooked, well garnished and most importantly utterly delicious. The beef however could have been better cooked. Do not order any of the beverages here. The noodles and rice were good,but not out of the ordinary. Overall it's a nice little place where you can come with friends for a casual dining.

Decent food quality and favorable amount of food against the price. Nice atmosphere there. Better to go in groups. Good for all. Mongolian Beef is the delicacy I liked the most. Fried rice there is a must try. Overall one of the best restaurants in my opinion. I am 200% satisfied with the food they deliver.

Amazing beef dishes. Good quality, quantity and fair pricing. Visit this place if you enjoy eating beef preparation, because if you visit this place and don't have beef, it will be only half as good. Their preparations of beef are perfectly spiced and the meat served is well-cooked and soft. Also, if you really want to enjoy a beef preparation for the first time ever, I will highly recommend this place.

What more does one need when you get to gorge on such a #beefilicious lunch on a Sunday!! Life is sorted.. though the restaurant is situated in a small lane in a crappy neighbourhood, the restaurant in itself is amazing. the ambience is really good with great aesthetics and a nice feel to it. the waiters are well mannered and soft spoken. but the definite highlight of the restaurant is their food .. the wide variety of chinese/tibetan/mongolian preparations are extremely good. also this restaurant is heaven of oriental beef preparations. car or bike parking in front of the restaurant is a concern.

Excellent place if you want to take in some authentic Tibetan style Beefy mainstays that start from all things momo and go upto Nepalese Beef Curry. The dishes are supremely tasty and priced extremely reasonably. The place due to it's location is easy to reach. The inside is not very big, and has 5 or 6 tables of four to sit. We heard the om mani padme hum chant playing out in the background. Sets up the ambience so very nicely. This place has all the ingredients of becoming the next big thing in the city. Do visit. Highly recommend.
