Decently priced Odia home style food. We had veg thali with morala fish bhaja and matihandi mutton. Food was tasty. Street side parking. Usually crowded during lunch hours as it's in an office area. Staff is friendly. You may need to climb 4-5 steps in case you have walking difficulty or have elderly person accompanying you.

Dalma is a Authentic Odishan Restaurant, located in Sec V area (Beside Decathlon), Kolkata serving regional Odishan food named after a local dish. The restaurant is showcases 75th years of Odia Film Industry & its landmark moments, movies, personalities etc. Here you can find the advertisement of the first Odia Movie "Sita Bibaha", released in 1936. The name Dalma comes from Dal which includes a lots of veggies. The thalis (Chicken, Mutton, Fish) are available only in lunch time. The best dish is Mati Handi Mutton (4pcs).

"Authentic Odishan Cuisine" is what aptly describes the restaurant. Dalma is located in the IT hub area of Kolkata, near Sector 5. I was literally impressed by the overall experience during my visit. The Mutton Thali that I tried was nothing short of amazing. The quantity and the quality, both justify the price that this restaurant asks from you. The Kheer also tasted delicious. Now coming to the ambience. The theme of this restaurant is another reason for you to pay a visit here. This restaurant showcases and promotes Odishan Movies and it's rich history. Me & my wife have our lunch today@Dalma,Kolkata.We took one Special Veg Thali,One Veg Thali,One Rohi Machha masala. The complete meal was good. We loved it. The staffs were quite professional. I have good experience with Dalma-Bhubaneswar & Dalma-Puri too. Thanks to Dalma for giving us pure Odia food outside Odisha.

This restaurant is located near tcs gitobitan so whenever i have my any exams in tcs gitobitan this restaurant becomes the best place for our lunch..As a odia & a vegetarian I often like to order veg thali that is around 100 rupees and Dalma special veg thali is just awesome i.e around 160 rupees my husband mainly likes the pakhala non veg thali that costs 120 rupees...ODIA cuisine ROCKS

They serve amazing Odia food with lots of variety and pocket friendly prices. After hearing praises from my Odia friends, finally ordered Veg thali from here. Cost--100 INR. Taste--awesome, every item had its own unique homely taste. Quantity - I would say it was more than sufficient for me as there were many items--rice, dalma, veg curry, chokha, saag, chutney, bhaja, salad, sweet.The two pics posted are from a single order just to show the quantity. It's a feast and amazing for the soul. Delivery is super fast. Packaging - as there are so many items they give in silver polypacks with rubberband so you need to have cutlery to eat these. The only issue I faced was that I ordered roti in the thali and they sent rice. But overall very good, will order again.

Great great great place. I am a vegetarian and I absolutely loved the chhena tarkari ( paneer curry ). It was just like home. The roti were thin and soft so as the parathas. My friend had mati handi chicken and it was great too. Loved the ambience. All sorts of Odia movie posters were there. Will definitely visit again to try pakhala thali.
