Raajbarir Khawa

We ordered basanti polao, rajbarir chicken, chitol maacher muitha and vetki paturi. Basanti polao was a hit with no additional spices added to it. It tasted purely authentic. Chitol maacher muitha and chicken was also good. Vetki paturi had a typical smell (don't know why) which i didn't like. Apart from that, the service and homely atmosphere was great.

The food was great and was served hot. Since we were a party comprising about 30 members, they took some time, but delivered efficiently. The food tasted great. The service was alright. The atmosphere was not so great. The air conditioner was not effective enough, the seating arrangement can be improved. They serve Bengali Cuisine but they didn't provide hand bowls to clean our hands after meal. Instead we had to walk over to a wash basin, which is fine for youngsters but a hassle for the elderly.

The Rajbari special platter was awesome. One plate has so much food that 2 people can share it easily. If you want to try authentic traditional Bengali cuisine this place is a must try. It will take some time to get your food after ordering but the food is worth waiting for. People are nice and the ambience is just beautiful. The utensils used will also give you a homely feeling.

The atmosphere inside the restaurant is absolutely royal, here the food is served in kasar thali plates I think you should visit here and have a good food 😄 🍱Mahabhoj Thali contains: 1. luchi 2. Eggplant fried 3. Chickpeas 4. Fish fries 5. Chicken Kopta 6. Bhetki paturi 7. Basanti Polao 8. Malaikari of shrimp fish 9. Minced mutton 10. Sin 11. chutney 12. Rasgolla 🍱The menu includes various other Khali like Pabda Thali 340/-, Mutton Thali 340/-, Katla Thali, etc.🤩🍱 🤩 I like the taste and quality of the food, those who love to eat Bengali food can go and try it, I hope you will like it too.

I ordered takeaway food from here and for the price charged, there is simply no match. I ordered the Rajbarir thali (2) for my father's birthday and three adults ate the food over three meals. There were 12-13 items including fish, mutton and prawns and portions were very large. The price was only around Rs 550 per plate. However, a word of caution to the management: my parents who've eaten this food earlier said due to puja, quality seems to have fallen sharply. PS: the picture showing all items includes some home cooked items also.

Bengal Cuisine at it's best.!!
